How to Measure for Your Zebra Blinds
There's really only one number we need from you, your width. Every Curtainry zebra blind adjusts up to 1.8 metres long, so height is already sorted. Grab a tape measure and we'll have your width in a few minutes.
Step 1: Choose Your Mount
Blinds fit one of two ways. Pick the one that matches your window.
Recess Mount
Sits neatly inside the window frame. Choose this for a clean, built-in look.
Face-Fix Mount
Fixed to the wall above, covering the whole window from outside. Choose this to block out more light.
Step 2: Measure Your Width
Please enter your final cutting width. We cut your blind to exactly the number you give us, deductions and additions already included on your side. We don't apply any extra deduction or adjustment on our end. Because each blind is made to order, it can't be remade or altered once production starts, so please double check your width before you order.
- Check your recess is at least 90mm to 100mm deep. This gives the blind's cassette (the box that holds the blind) room to fit.
- Measure the width inside the window frame in three spots: top, middle, and bottom.
- Write down all three numbers.
- Use the smallest one, so your blind isn't a squeeze to fit.
- Take 10mm off that number. This gives the blind room to open and close smoothly, and it's the final number you'll enter when ordering.
Recess shallower than 90mm? No problem, just go with face-fix mount instead.
- Decide how far past the window frame you'd like the blind to reach on each side. We suggest at least 100mm on each side, it blocks more light and looks neater.
- Measure straight across, outer edge to outer edge, including that extra bit on each side. That's the final number you'll enter when ordering.
Height? Already Sorted.
Every Curtainry zebra blind is made to order and adjusts up to 1.8 metres long, no matter your window. Once you've got your width, you're ready to order. No second trip up the ladder.
